Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-05-07
By installing or using Sealda you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose. The headline is: Sealda is software you run on your own device, you hold your own keys, and we cannot help you recover them.
1. What Sealda is
Sealda is a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet. It runs as a native iOS app and as a static web client. It signs and broadcasts transactions on public blockchains (Tron, Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain) on your behalf, using keys derived entirely on your device from a BIP-39 recovery phrase you generate.
Sealda is not a financial institution. It does not custody funds. It does not facilitate fiat on/off-ramps. It does not offer interest, lending, staking, or any other financial product.
2. Self-custody and your responsibility
You are solely responsible for your recovery phrase, your PIN, and the device that holds them.
If you lose your recovery phrase, your funds are permanently inaccessible. If you reveal it to anyone — a support agent, a website, a video call, a paste into a chat — they can drain your wallet immediately. Sealda has no mechanism to reverse, freeze, or undo on-chain transactions, regardless of cause.
By using Sealda you confirm that you understand:
- The recovery phrase is the only way to restore the wallet on a new device.
- The PIN is local and cannot be reset by us.
- Hidden-wallet passphrases are not stored anywhere — forgetting one is equivalent to losing those funds.
- On-chain transactions are final. There is no chargeback or dispute mechanism.
3. No warranty
Sealda is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law we disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Cryptocurrency markets, smart contracts and chain infrastructure are inherently risky. Bugs in third-party contracts, RPC outages, fee-estimation errors, or user-triggered approvals can result in permanent loss of funds. Use Sealda at your own risk.
4. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Sealda Project, its contributors, and any operator of related infrastructure shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages — including loss of funds, profits, data, or goodwill — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the software.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Sealda to:
- Violate sanctions, anti-money-laundering, or counter-terrorism financing laws applicable to you.
- Attack, probe, scrape, or interfere with the project-operated relay endpoints (push subscription, pair handoff).
- Reverse-engineer the clients for the purpose of distributing malware or trojanized builds under the Sealda name.
You represent and warrant that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any jurisdiction subject to comprehensive United States, United Kingdom, or European Union sanctions, including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine, and that you are not on any US Treasury OFAC Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list, EU consolidated sanctions list, or UK HM Treasury list.
We reserve the right to rate-limit or block abusive traffic against the relay endpoints. Doing so does not custody your funds or affect your ability to use a different wallet client against the same recovery phrase.
6. Third-party services
Sealda makes calls to third-party chain RPCs to read balances and broadcast transactions. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or terms.
7. Open-source components
Sealda is built on standard, audited open-source crypto primitives (@noble/curves, @noble/hashes, @scure/bip32, Apple's CryptoKit on iOS, and others). Their licenses apply to the corresponding components and are listed in the project repository.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. The Last updated date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Sealda after a revision constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
9. License — Apple App Store
The following terms apply to the iOS version of Sealda obtained from the Apple App Store, and supplement (rather than replace) the rest of these Terms:
- These Terms are concluded between you and the Sealda Project only, and not with Apple Inc. The Sealda Project alone is responsible for the iOS app and its content. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the iOS app.
- The license granted to you for the iOS app is limited to a non-transferable license to use the app on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, and as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- In the event of any failure of the iOS app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be the sole responsibility of the Sealda Project.
- The Sealda Project, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the iOS app or your possession and/or use of it, including (i) product liability claims, (ii) any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
- In the event of any third-party claim that the iOS app or your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, the Sealda Project, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of any such claim.
- You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the iOS app (for example, your wireless data service agreement).
- Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with respect to the iOS app, and upon your acceptance of the Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
10. Governing law
Sealda is a project rather than a registered legal entity. To the extent any dispute arises and a forum must be picked, the parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution by email first. If that fails, the dispute will be resolved under the laws applicable to the user's ordinary place of residence, to the extent permitted by those laws.
